A. Lange & Söhne

Founded by Ferdinand A. Lange in 1845, A. Lange & Söhne is at the very forefront of watch making. Based in Germany, the name A. Lange & Söhne was established by Adolph Lange in 1868 in Glashutte Saxony. Glashutte has a long watch making tradition and is the premier producer of quality watches in Germany.

At the end of the second world war the A. Lange & Söhne factories were bombed and looted, marking the end of production for 42 years. With the re-unification of Germany, A. Lange & Söhne was resurrected and quickly became a major player in the watch industry, it’s first new watch was the Lange 1 released in 1994 which immediately became a success. It is remarkable that a company which for so long lay dormant was able to establish itself so prominently in such a short space of time.

A. Lange & Söhne has been showered with superlatives ever since. All watches are manufactured and assembled in house.
